LAGO VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

This is a photo of the Vocational Class of 1935.  Photo supplied by Dolfi Kock in Aruba.
Dan today I had a conversation with Mr. Emilio Kock, better known as Mimi. He is in the photo of LVS, shown above.  He is in the first roe, third from left, he told me that the photo was taken on 2 July 1935. From the photo there are 4 who are still alive.  They are Emilio Kock, Joseph Oduber, Zacharias Kelly and Jose Dirks. The teacher was J. Beaujon. Mimi is now 87 years, still has a very good memory. The photo below is Emilio Kock, or Mimi as he is better know. The photo of him was taken this afternoon, December 2, 2006.

Today, 5/8/2008, I just found these two photos in with other photos that were in Mr. Spitzer's personal records.  I am sure they are photos of Apprentices Classes from the Lago Apprenticeship Program.  Mr. Spitzer headed the Apprenticeship Program until the was discontinued.  Mr. Spitzer then went on to become the Chief of the Lago Police Department, a position he held until his retirement.  The first photo has names on the back, CLICK ON THIS LINE TO GO TO THE BACK OF THE PHOTO.  There are no names on the back of the second photo and there are no dates.  However, on the back of the first photograph the date 12/1/1949 is next to one of the names.  If anyone can help with dates or names of those in any of these photographs please let me know and I will add the names.  CLICK ON EACH PHOTO TO GO TO A LARGER VIEW TO SEE THE FACES MORE CLEARLY. After the layoff in the 60's many ex-lago employees went to Holland. They had visit from Mr. Schindeler and from the IOWUA Mr. Maduro.
