DEPARTMENT: Lago Cashier, Married to Janet Tole who taught school from 1940 until 1942 when she marred Arie. Janet was from Kansas.
Janet died in 1950 from cancer and Arie remarried. Again he married a Lago School teach, Alice Constance. She continued to teach school until Arie and Alice left the island in 1962 to retire.
CHILDREN: Susanne Gravendijk (Wirth) who graduated from Lago High School in 1962 and went on to become an RN.
